CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a light-touch, whole-body treatment technique developed by John E. Upledger, DO, OMM. CST is a complementary method of hands-on bodywork that works with the body’s craniosacral system to support and nourish the central nervous system. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. CST helps to alleviate the aches, pains and strains of life, and improves coping mechanisms to allow for better management of stress. CST improves the body's ability to self-care and can produce profound, positive changes.

Therapeutic Bodywork

The therapeutic bodywork offered is a combination of medical, myofascial and neuromuscular massage. The goal of therapeutic bodywork is to break down scar tissue, reduce muscle spasms, release knots and tension, improve flexibility, and increase range of motion of joints. This process restores blood flow to muscle tissue bringing oxygen and nutrients, and flushes out toxins that can help to reduce inflammation. The work is often slow and deep, within a clients comfort level, to lengthen, spread, and differentiate the fascia, muscles and connective tissues.
